Dining Out for Life Coming to Central Florida

Written By Scott Joseph On February 21, 2020

Dine Out for Life

Dining Out for Life, a charity event with local restaurants, is coming to Central Florida. The one-day event on Thursday, April 30, is to raise awareness and funds for The Center and its efforts to provide support services for people living with or affected by HIV and AIDS in Central Florida.

Dining Out for Life was started in 1991 in Philadelphia and now benefits more than 60 organizations across the United States and Canada. This will be the first year in Central Florida.

Participating restaurants pledge to donate 25, 50 or 75 percent of the day’s food sales. The monies raised at restaurants in Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties will remain in the area to fund education, prevention and comprehensive support.

The Center is currently signing up restaurants that would like to participate. If you’d like to sign your restaurant up – or recommend one – contact Tommi Pritchett at The Center at 407-201-2544 or visit the Dining Out for Life website. Besides doing something good, you’ll also benefit from advanced marketing and potentially increased traffic.

I’ll have a full list of participating restaurants as we get closer to the date. All you have to do as a diner is choose to visit one of those restaurants on April 30.
