This is more of a bar with food than a restaurant that serves a good drink. But it has a terrific outdoor space (larger and more comfortable than the indoor area) that is drawing a college-aged crowd on balmy nights.
t's mostly noshables, and there isn't anything over $13 -- in fact, most items are under $10. The menu, which was developed by the chef at Kres, although the two restaurants are owned by different entities, features soups and salads; flatbreads (to compete with Urban Flats, I suppose); pastas for the people who must have their carbs; and sliders and folds, the former being tiny burgers and the latter being wrap sandwiches. I chose the choice burger, which got me three of the little gut bombs, as we used to call the White Castle sliders. They were dense patties on Lilliputian sized buns, served with shredded lettuce, tomatoes and a small sweet pickle. The burgers were topped with cheese and they were pretty good.

A recent addition to the area's only art movie house, Eden is an outdoor venue next to the theater. The menu is an odd mix but features some Austrian specialties. If you're up for a splurge, ask for a shot of pre-Prohibition bourbon.

Enzo is gone, but his restaurant continues on. Let your server put together an antipasti selection from the table in the dining room.
One of my favorites is bucatini alla Enzo, which features fat, hollow pasta tossed tableside with prosciutto, peas, bacon and mushrooms plus a little sprinkling of freshly grated parmesan. All the ingredients meld together to flavor a buttery sauce that coats the noodles. With prosciutto and bacon in the mix the taste is a decidedly salty one, but not unpleasantly so. Because they’re so fat and unwieldy, bucatini noodles are impossible to be eat gracefully. So just dive in the best you can.
Costaletta di vitello, was as good a veal chop as you’re likely to find anywhere in town. The thick chop was as tender as you expect a veal chop to be – and as tender as you are justified to demand at that price. It was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and seasoned with butter that had just the slightest hint of white truffle essence.
Go before sunset and enjoy the gardens before going inside.

It is unique among the downtown businesses – it’s a quiet place with a classy feel that puts the emphasis on good wine. It’s a terrific meeting space or neighborhood hangout without the manic music or big crowds you might find in some the neighboring restaurants and bars. It’s just what downtown needed.
