Olive Garden launches sweepstakes to send winners to Tuscan cooking institute

Written By Administrator On April 2, 2009

Orlando-based Olive Gardens has launched a sweepstakes that will send four grand-prize winners to Rome, Florence and Olive Gardens’ Culinary Institute of Tuscany, where the Darden company has been sending its chefs over the last several years to learn that Italian food is more than just a pile of pasta with some tomato sauce splotched on it.

Olive Garden It’s an eight-day guided trip for two…no, that’s not exactly correct. It’s an eight-day guided trip for eight because the grand prize is four trips for two, and they all must travel at the same time. That time will be in March of 2010, with the exact days still to be determined. Just to be safe, clear your calendar for the entire month.

While in Italy, winners will take day trips from the institute to other Tuscan sites, including Olive Garden’s partner winery. Back at the school, chef Paola Lafata will give cooking lessons, which are likely to go further than garlic bread sticks and bottomless bowls of salad.

You can enter the contest every day, and each time you enter you get a chance to win a $25 Olive Garden gift card.
