Houlihan’s ties promotion to Dow Jones Average — Free food whether it’s up or down

Written By Administrator On February 9, 2009

Beginning today and continuing through February 27, Houlihan’s Orlando restaurants are offering a special of free food based on the closing average of the day’s Dow Jones Industrial Average. If the Dow is up, diners will be offered free donuts; if it’s down, they’ll receive a certificate for a free appetizer on their next visit.

The promotion is being called the “Dowwie Wowwie” (I’m guessing they’re paying for the free food by firing the marketing staff). The offer is good Monday through Friday after 4 p.m. following the closing bell of the stock market.

The local Houlihan’s are at 11448 University Boulevard; 2600 E. Colonial Drive; and 9150 International Drive, all in Orlando.
