Meet Multiple Miss Americas (Misses America?)

Written By Scott Joseph On August 23, 2010

This could be fun. Friday, August 27, the Westgate Resorts Foundation is presenting “An Evening with Miss America” at the home of Westgate founder and CEO David Siegel and his wife, Jacqueline. But it’s more than the current Miss America, Caressa Cameron; also in attendance will be the 53 state candidates (yes, I know there are only 50 states, but there’s Puerto Rico and territories, that sort of thing). So you’ll have the chance to meet the currently crowned as well as the future Miss America, to be named at a later date.

Besides the obvious eye-candy, there will be actual food presented by a number of area restaurants, including Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse, B.B. King’s Blues Club, Ayothaya Thai, CRAVE, Emeril’s Tchoup Chop, Fresco, Tommy Bahama, Urban Flats and others. There will also be wine from Vines Grille & Wine Bar and a full bar staffed by the women of the Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery.

OK, let’s just contemplate this for a moment. You’ve got at least 54 beauty pageanteers and the lovely lasses of Tilted Kilt all in the home of the attractive Jackie Siegel. The cleavage potential here is enormous.

Not that that’s any reason to go. Or at least not the sole reason. It’s a fundraising event for the Westgate Resorts Foundation and then Miss America Scholarship Program, so everyone will be on their best behavior. Tickets are $150 each or $200 per couple. And only 200 tickets are available, so your chances of actually meeting and chatting with Miss America and the state and territorial titleholders are very good. To reserve tickets are get more information, call 407-351-3351, ext. 377.

The event is from 7 to 11 p.m. and will be held in the Siegel’s home, known as Seagull Island (seagull — get it?), 9766 Green Island Cove, Windemere, inside Isleworth. (This is not the megahome that has been in the news lately, but it’s still pretty grand.) Attire is resort casual. For men that means slacks (jeans are not usually worn) and a casual shirt (polo style is fine), and a jacket helps add a little class. For ladies, well, I think you’ll know how to dress for this one.
