There’s no place like STK for the holidays

Here’s the good thing about STK Steakhouse – well, there are many good things about the upscale Disney Springs restaurant that opened in 2016. But at this time of year the really great thing is that you don’t have to be concerned about whether you’re on the naughty or nice list – you’ll be just fine here either way.

STK, of course, is the high-end steakhouse with popular locations in New York, Chicago and Las Vegas. The Orlando location is sumptuous and spacious and it’s one of the few that touts a rooftop venue. In my review shortly after STK opened, I noted how impressive the food was, and not just the steaks, which as the name would lead you to expect are a particular forte. The kitchen does equally well with seafood – scallops and octopus were especially memorable – as well as the various side dishes that complete a steakhouse experience.

So STK is a good choice for dining any time but it’s especially appropriate this time of the year. And even better, it will be serving on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.

STK holiday prime rib

Christmas and Christmas Eve will feature the restaurant’s signature prime rib dinners, but the full regular menu will be available, too. New Year’s Eve will offer a number of specials, and the night will include a DJ, a midnight champagne toast and “more festive surprises.” I’m thinking it might be just right for getting a head start on that naughty list ranking for next year.

And this would be a good time to mention that STK will also have a Recovery Brunch on New Year’s Day.

If you’re planning a last minute holiday party for your group, keep STK in mind. It has private space for various sized parties, including the rooftop with its impressive view of the Springs.
