The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic returns in November a little more whole than it’s been the past couple of years.
The event, which takes place along the waterways and on the concourses and the causeway that connects the two resorts, will celebrate its 13th addition November 11 and 12 from 5:30 to 9 p.m. each day. It showcases the many celebrated restaurants that call the hotels home, including Shula’s Steak House, Todd English’s bluezoo, Il Mulino, Kimonos, and the new (and very good) Amare, among others. In addition, there will be wine, cocktail and beer stations. In fact, the beer garden that has been a favorite in the past will be returning this year.
Also back are the seminars and learning experiences that were put on hold for the past couple of events. You can learn about wine blending, craft cocktailing, making pasta, and other classes.
There will also be some unique VIP experiences, including a sommelier-led Grand Tasting on Saturday afternoon from 2:45 until 5 p.m. and a VIP Champagne and Dessert Tasting that evening from 8:30 until 10 p.m. The latter will take place in the Vue’s 15th floor ballroom with views of the Epcot fireworks.
But even without those premium opportunities you’ll have plenty to sip, savor and enjoy along the concourse, including live bands. This is a fun event that just gets better each year.
Tickets for the main tasting events are $165 plus tax and gratuity for each evening (some of the dishes served change from Friday to Saturday). Most of the seminars are $75; the pasta making course is $95. Saturday afternoon’s grand tasting is $395 and the champagne and dessert reception is $150. You can purchase tickets at the official Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic website.
Do get your tickets early because the classic has a reputation of selling out, especially the seminars and classes, which have very limited seating.
