When god closes the doors of a barbecue restaurant he opens one up with a drive-through window.

Pig Floyd’s Urban Barbakoa announced on its Instagram page that it has signed on to take over the recently vacated Bubbalou’s Bodacious Bar-b-q on Lee Road in Winter Park. It will be a second – or third – location for the Mills 50 barbecuer, which first opened in 2014. It had  opened another location in Lake Nona in 2017 that closed last year due to the pandemic.

The Lee Road Bubbalou’s was the local chain’s original, and its closing, in September, was also attributed to the pandemic.

Pig Floyd’s plans to do some renovating to the space and aims to open the new location in 2022.

Pig Floyd’s was a 2017 winner of a Best Barbecue Foodster Award for Independent Restaurants.
