New York is reopening and our December trip is a GO!

The city that never sleeps has admittedly been napping a bit. As we all have.

But New York is finally emerging and reopening, and it promises to be fully functional by the time of our “Flavorful Escape to New York City” tour, Dec. 8-12. I’ll be leading a small group to some of my favorite food – and nonfood – destinations.

Tour operator Art In Voyage – Beyond Travel has just announced that the trip is a firm GO! And only two rooms remain available to book.

In recent weeks, Radio City Music Hall announced that it would be opening at full, glorious capacity in June, plenty of time to rehearse the Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes, which is part of our itinerary and one of the most entertaining programs you’ll ever see, followed by dinner at the Knickerbocker overlooking Times Square. We’ll also be having cocktails at the top of Rockefeller Center and ice skating beneath the Christmas tree.

Oh, and a cooking class at De Gustibus at Macy’s Herald Square and tea at Bergdorf Goodman (think holiday shopping); food tours of Chinatown and Little Italy; a visit to the incredible Murray’s Cheese Shop in Greenwich Village; and a farewell dinner at Michelin-starred Le Bernadin, which also recently announced it was fully open.

We’ll be traveling around the city by private coach but I’ll be happy to show you how to navigate the subway if you want to go off on your own. (And I’ll share some of my favorite places to go for a nightcap and late night music.)

We’ll be staying at the Iroquois, a luxury four-star hotel in Midtown. If you haven’t experienced an Art In Voyage tour before, you should know that owner Mikael Audebert likes to do everything top notch.

And after what we’ve all just been through, I think we deserve to treat ourselves to some pampering. So why not give yourself an early present and come join us in December? Further details about the trip are available at the Art In Voyage website.

We hope you find our reviews and news articles useful and entertaining. It has always been our goal to assist you in making informed decisions when spending your dining dollars. If we’ve helped you in any way, please consider making a contribution to help us continue our journalism. Thank you.
