Just before the mandatory lockdown, I had told you about Mia’s Italian Kitchen, a new restaurant on International Drive. I was impressed with the quality of the food and I was disappointed when it decided to shut down when in-restaurant dining was banned, choosing not to offer takeout or delivery.
But as of Friday, May 8, it is offering takeout and delivery while still keeping the dining room closed for now.
Mia’s will be cooking and serving out of sister restaurant Cafe Tu Tu Tango (it might be a brother restaurant, I always have trouble telling). CTTT’s menu is also available to go. (Sort of like the arrangement that Taverna Opa and Tapa Toro have.)
The Friday opening is in time for the two restaurants to offer Mother’s Day dinner options.
Mia’s Mother’s Day offering comes in options for two people ($59) or four people ($89) and includes choice of either Sunday Salad or Classic Caesar salads; choice of either Steak Pizzaiola, Chicken Parmigiana or Eggplant Parmigiana; choice of two sides from Crispy Garlic Smashed Potatoes, Spicy Broccolini, Viktoria’s Spaghetti Pomodoro or Rigatoni al Funghi; and Tiramisu for dessert. Orders for Mia’s Italian Kitchen will be available for pick-up from Café Tu Tu Tango.
Tu Tu will offer options for two people ($59) or four people ($89). The package includes one item from each of the main categories on Café Tu Tu Tango’s regular menu, plus choose from either Carne Asada Sirloin or Lomo Al Mojo. Both entrees are served with Corn Salsa, Platanos Maduros, Yucca Escabeche and Tortillas, along with dessert for either two or four guests. You’ll have to provide your own music for the tango.
You can order from either restaurant be calling 786-374-8176 or using the online ordering service ChowNow (just click the Order Online button on the website link: Mia’s Italian Kitchen Cafe Tu Tu Tango). Both restaurants’ takeout items are on listed on the ChowNow form. Delivery is available, but keep in mind that it’s through a third-party service.
