If you’ve been reading my reviews for the past three decades, you’ll know that I’m a fan of Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster, which just celebrated its 26th anniversary. My most recent review solidified my fondness for this restaurant.

So I’m delighted to announce that I’ll be hosting a special Supper Club with Christner’s featuring the wines of Chalk Hill Estate. The Sonoma County vintner is another favorite of mine.

The dinner is 7 p.m. Friday, July 19, at the restaurant, 729 Lee Road, Orlando. Cost is $145 per person, which includes tax and gratuity, a bargain even before you start to add in the wine pairings. Call the restaurant at 407-645-4443 for reservations.

Dinner will include Christner’s Fried Shrimp Appetizer, followed by the popular Blue Cheese Lettuce Wedge salad. A 2017 Chalk Hill Estate Sauvignon Blanc and the 2016 Chalk Hill Wright Creek Chardonnay are the pairings.

The main course will be the Bone-In Filet with Potatoes Au Gratin and Sautéed Mushrooms paired with two wines: 2016 Chalk Hill Estate Pinot Noir and 2015 Chalk Hill Estate Red.

We’ll finish with New York Style Cheesecake topped with Chambord-infused berries. To sweeten the dessert a little more, we’ll sip Chalk Hill’s 2014 Semillon.

That’s four courses and five wines. Plus we’ll have the attention of Christner’s terrific serving staff. It’s going to be a good evening.

Seating is very limited and reservations are required. To reserve your space, call the restaurant at 407-645-4443.
