Earl and Fieri to Open Flagship Chicken Guy at Disney Springs

Written By Scott Joseph On July 25, 2018

Chicken Guy LogoPlanet Hollywood founder Robert Earl and chef and Food Network personality Guy Fieri are collaborating on a new concept called Chicken Guy. Because, apparently, that sounded better than Chicken Robert.

The new restaurant will operate out of the Planet Hollywood building at Disney Springs but will be a completely separate restaurant with its own entrance near the retail store. It may use some of Planet’s kitchen for prep work, but, really, there’s no connection between the two.

Fieri and Earl have collaborated before, in the very building that Chicken Guy will occupy. When Planet Hollywood reopened last year following extensive renovations to make it look like an old observatory, the rejiggered menu featured a section of dishes created by Fieri.

Chicken Guy will be a quick-serve operation featuring chicken tenders tendered by non-GMO birds that once roamed free on a range somewhere. Fieri came up with the custom recipe for the breading. The tenders will be available on a stick, in a sandwich or as part of a salad. All menu items will be under $7.

To dress the tenders, 26 sauces will be available. Should you forget to sauce your chicken, a Sauce Slinger wearing a holster bearing the sauces will circulate through the dining space.

Earl and Fieri will officially announce the concept Monday morning at Disney Springs. An opening date has not been decided. This will be the flagship Chicken Guy — three words I never thought I’d type together — for what the two hope will be a large chain of Chick Guys.
