As first reported here — well, it was first conjectured here — Hampton Social will take over the former Tommy Bahama Cafe and retail space at Pointe Orlando. Joanne Helbourg, Pointe Orlando’s marketing manager, confirmed the lease agreement, however, the restaurant is not expected to open until late 2019.

“Pointe Orlando is excited to welcome this fresh concept to the Pointe for the local resident foodie, but also the business and leisure traveler who want a chill place to grab a drink,” Chris Ralph, Vice President of Leasing for Brixmor Property Group, operator of Pointe Orlando, said in a statement.

As I mentioned in June, Hampton Social’s only locations are currently in the Chicago area. According to the restaurant’s website, it “is a restaurant hotspot that evokes East Coast living in every aspect.” The menu is heavy on seafood selections, including “Hampton favorites” Lobster Roll, Fish Tacos and Fish & Chips.

There are currently two locations in the Chicago area with a third to open this summer and another in 2019. A Naples location, scheduled to open prior to the one in Orlando, will be the first outside of Chicago.

Hampton Social is owned by Chicago’s Parker Restaurant Group, which also has the Bassment (presumably pronounced basement) and Mahalo, each with one location.
