Author Brad Meltzer will Headline Reading Between the Wines

Brad Meltzer credit Michelle Watson Catchlight Group SMALL copyNew York Times bestselling author and History Channel star Brad Meltzer will headline the 11th annual “Reading between the Wines” Adult Literacy League (ALL) fundraiser April 25, 2018, from 6-9 p.m. The event at Orlando Science Center is presented by Bank of America.

Attendees may sample food and wine offerings from top Central Florida restaurants, including: 1921 by Norman Van Aken; Swine & Sons Provisions; 4Rivers Smokehouse; Olde Hearth Bread Co.; Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant; Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ Florida Kitchen; Urban Tide at Hyatt Regency Orlando; and The Palm Restaurant at Hard Rock Hotel. It's a walkabout event and here will be several wine stations to walkabout up to.

There will be a raffle and a silent auction items with everything from airline tickets and restaurant packages to signed books and entertainment-experience gift cards. Individual tickets are $99; a $650 Connoisseur’s Table includes four event tickets, a reserved cocktail table, two gift bottles of wine and recognition as a sponsor in the event program. All event proceeds will support Adult Literacy League (ALL) programs and services designed to build a literate community. ALL provides one-to-one tutoring and classes to more than 1,500 adults on a weekly basis, plus books and learning materials to 1,000 preschoolers in low-income families each year. That's worth a hundred bucks even without the food and wine.

His newest book is The Escape Artist. WESH-TV (NBC) broadcast meteorologist and children’s book author Amy Sweezey will emcee the event.
