Morimoto Asia, one of the more highly anticipated restaurants scheduled for Disney Springs, the rebranded Downtown Disney project now under construction, will open Sept. 30. 

The restaurant is a partnership between Patina Restaurant Group and celebrity chef Masaharu Morimoto, who has several popular restaurants called Morimoto in Philadelphia, New York and elsewhere. The Disney restaurant was originally planned to be a Morimoto, but, according to sources, the chef became disillusioned during the process. Morimoto Asia will be a unique restaurant with a pan-Asian menu.

Patina Group owns and operates several restaurants in New York as well as the restaurants at the Italy pavilion at Epcot.
