Invitations Out for Visit Orlando Magical Dining Month

Written By Scott Joseph On June 13, 2011

Visit Orlando has extended invitations to the restaurants it would like to participate in this year’s Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining Month. (Yes, it’s by inviation only — not just any restaurant can be a part of it.)

Did you notice the subtle name change? It used to be Orlando Magical Dining Month. Now it has the new name to incorporate the new name of the former Convention and Visitors Bureau.

As with previous years, the month of Magical Dining will be during September. The restaurants that accept the invitation will offer a three-course, $30 prix fixe meal. Each year a portion of the proceeds goes to benefit a charity. This year it’s Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida.

If you’ve already received your invitation, be sure to respond. If you haven’t gotten one, and you’re wondering why you haven’t been invited, send me a note and I’ll slip it to the people at Visit Orlando. I’m sure it was just an oversight!

Can’t wait to see which restaurants will be participating. I’ve already heard from one that has decided not to be a part of it this year. I’ll give you more details later.
