Funky Monkey Vault Opens on Mills Avenue

Written By Scott Joseph On March 24, 2011

VaultThose Funky Monkey guys have been going bananas, and I don’t mean with their Bananas Diner. Well, that too. They now have two Funky Monkey locations, and a second Bananas Diner is already under construction at Pointe Orlando. And just a few minutes from now, at 5 p.m., they will have the official opening of Funky Monkey Vault, a wine and retail shop. The space is huge — maybe bigger than any of the restaurants — and has shelves of wine bins, comfy seating areas for sipping wines, and lots of interesting gewgaws for sale. Owners Eddie Nickell and Nicholas Olivieri have even moved the company’s corporate offices into the space, which most recently was a pharmacy. No more drugs, but I’m sure they’ll have a wine for whatever ails you. Stop in and take a look. The Funky Monkey Vault is at 942 N. Mills Ave., Orlando, just a few doors up from Funky Monkey restaurant and Bananas Diner.
