Orlando’s E-Brands Restaurants Files Chapter 11

Written By Scott Joseph On August 3, 2010

Orlando-based E-Brands Restaurants, which owns Timpano and Samba Room on Restaurant Row and the newer Paradiso 37 at DownTown Disney, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company is controlled by Rashid Choufani, who opened Restaurant Marrakesh in the Morocco pavilion at Disney’s Epcot theme park. E-Brands also operates Aquaknox restaurants in Tampa and Las Vegas. Chapter 11 allows for reorganization under the bankruptcy laws of the United States. The Sand Lake restaurants are expected to remain open during the reorganization.
