Clifford Pleau Leaves Darden

Written By Scott Joseph On August 31, 2014

Clifford Pleau, the chef who opened California Grill at Walt Disney World and who, along with that restaurant’s then general manager, George Miliotes, was hired away by Darden to help develop its Seasons 52 concept has left the company. Pleau could not give details about his departure but said that he expects to have an announcement about his next venture soon. Miliotes, a master sommelier who administers the comapny’s wine program, remains “happily employed by Darden.” The two were inarguably responsible for making California Grill one of the area’s top dining destinations for tourists and locals.
