Hangar Bar and Grille Reported Closed

Written By Scott Joseph On April 16, 2014

UPdate: The closing has been confirmed.

Word is coming in this morning that the Hangar Bar and Grille in College Park has closed. This is not yet confirmed, though there is no answer, live or recorded, at the restaurants phone number.

The airplane themed Hangar opened only last fall, a rebranding from the owners of the Wildside Bar and Grille (who were not the owners of the popular Thornton Park Wildside). I, apparently, was among the miniority who had a positive experience at Hangar. In my review, I praised it for its simple but well executed food and for the able service. However, online reviews weren’t as positive, and the restaurant’s Urbanspoon score is a dismal 52%.

Hangar occupied a ground floor corner space in the Wellesley condominium building on Edgewater Drive. This was the space that opened originally as Harmoni Market and that has been several restaurants over the years.

This article will be updated when the status is verified.
