Perennial favorite and previous winner of multiple Foodster Awards Tap Room at Dubsdread has been voted Best Burger for 2020 in our Foodster Awards for Independent Restaurants.

Kiwi’s Pub & Grill of Altamonte Springs came in second and third place went to Hangry Bison, which was the top winner in 2019. Only two votes separated second and third place.

“Dubsdread is the winner for sure!,” wrote Janet Burke after placing her vote. “The burger is always cooked to perfection. The meat is soft and juicy and the bun is to die for. An explosion of happiness all in one bite! Plus, the location, the staff and Steve make it all that much better!”

Emily Singleton Magnuson agreed: “Dubsdread burgers are ALWAYS CONSISTENT….lovely neighborhood atmosphere….always the winner!”

“Haven’t had them all but Kiwi’s serves a burger that punches you in the mouth,” wrote
Yeslin Silence Escobar, somewhat violently. “The meat is seasoned and tastes right verses a bland Burger with all the dressings. Juicy, rendezvous of flavor escaping two warm buns. When you’re tired of regular go catch a one on one with a Kiwi’s burger.”

In defense of her vote for Hangry Bison, Liz Rodriguez said: “Hangry Bison has the best burgers. You can order one of theirs on the menu or build your own. Add sweet potato fries and a hangria and you’re all set.”

The burger category is always hotly contested. Nearly all finalists had votes at least in triple digits.
