After a brief nine-day dark period, the former Fifi’s Patisserie will reopen Friday February 27th as Sanctuary Diner. The space has been made “less girly,” in the words of Ted Maines, a partner in the venture. That means new paint has covered the formerly pink walls. New artwork and awnings were also installed to give a classic diner feel.
The food will follow the lines of a New York diner as well, but with chef Jephanie Foster in control of the menu there are bound to be a few creative touches (pastrami on rye sliders perhaps?).
For the time being the hours will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday Through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The diner, which gets its name from the Sanctuary Condomiums, is at 100. S. Eola Drive, Orlando.
