Straub’s Seafood closes its Colonial Drive location

Written By Administrator On February 4, 2009

Straub’s Seafood, a longtime favorite for area fish lovers, closed its East Colonial Drive location Sunday. The reason, said a manager, was that the building was in need of a new septic system that would have cost an estimated $50,000. You have to sell a lot of $12.95 seafood platters to come up with that kind of money.

The restaurant’s Altamonte Springs location, 512 E. Altamonte Drive, remains open. Early bird special, anyone?
