It’s Beaujolais Nouveau Day

Written By Administrator On November 20, 2008

Greetings from New York! Today is the day France has dedicated to the first release of the current Beaujolais vintage, a day that is traditionally filled with events across the country for wine lovers to get a sip of things to come. This year’s gimmick — there’s always a gimmick — has the wine arriving at Secession, Daniel Bouley’s restaurant, the former Danube, by chefs and sommeliers on motorcycles. I’m not sure wine and motorcyles are a good match, but we’ll see.

I’m headed to the restaurant right now and will report back to you later.
