Well I just keep finding little nuggets of information as I continue reading the official guide book for the 2009 Epcot International Wine & Food Festival.

I’d told you before that there would be a premium lounge for this year’s Party of the Senses for a mere $75 extra (that’s on top of the usual price of $135 for the Party plus admission to the theme park, which is required. And I told you that the Parties for the Senses would be themed this year. You can see a list of themes in my previous article.

In year’s past, festival goers who didn’t have that kind of money to shell out to sample food and wine could at least take solace in the wine seminars and cooking demonstrations that were free, gratis, no purchase necessary (although admission to the park was still required).

Now I read that the used-to-cost-nothing seminars and cooking demonstrations will cost $8.

For those of you fond of doing the math, there are generally three each of the seminars and demos on weekdays and four on the weekends. By my recollection, the seminars usually hold 100. So that’s a potential $4800 extra money on weekdays, even more on weekends.

That’s one way to cut costs -- transfer them to the guests!
