Charley’s WildFire Grille, the rebranding attempt of the original Charley’s Steak House restaurant, is closed. Seth Miller, senior operating partner for Talk of the Town Restaurant Group, said the company has purchased a piece of property on Little Lake Bryan in Lake Buena Vista and will relocate the WildFire Grille there over the summer. The new location is next to a Romano’s Macaroni Grill.
The former location, on South Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando, will be used for special events and private banquets only, effective immediately.
Charley’s WildFire Grille opened in July as an effort to reshape the restaurant for the changing neighborhood. Once the flagship location for the restaurant group’s lead concept, Charley’s on S.O.B.T. was no longer frequented by upscale diners willing to pay premium prices for high quality steak and seafood. The WildFire Grille offered a nostalgia driven menu with a lower price point.
Talk of the Town’s other brands include FishBones, MoonFish, Vito’s Chop House and Johnnie’s Hideaway. The remaining Charley’s Steak Houses, on International Drive and in Kissimmee near Celebration, continue to operate.
