The 19th Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will run an unprecedented 53 days this year, from September 19 through November 10. There are a lot of new things to look forward to, and I’ll have more information about them soon, but there’s one event in particular that I find intriguing.
It involves the October 25 edition of Party for the Senses. The Parties for the Senses aren’t new, of course, but this one will have an interesting twist. Usually, the Saturday evening extravaganza features the visiting chefs who have participated in festival events throughout the previous week mixed in with chefs from Walt Disney World Resort restaurants. This particular party, however, will showcase Disney chefs from properties around the world — the actual world, not the country pavilions around the Epcot lagoon. So along with the star chefs we have here in the Central Florida parks will be chefs from Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland and others. Could be interesting.
Pricing for the Party for the Senses is $149 for general admission, plus tax (gratuity is included but admission to Epcot, which is required, is not). There are two other levels for PftS: Reserved seating, $189 plus tax, which gets you a reserved table in a cordoned area, and the Wine View Lounge level, which adds early a specialty cocktail greeting and a premium bar and an artisinal cheese station. Guests in both the reserved seating and Wine View Lounge levels have a 15 minute head start, gaining entrance at 7:15 p.m. instead of the 7:30 starting time for the huddled masses. Believe it or not, both premium levels tend to sell out immediately.
