Two of our favorite chefs are participating in a Chef Mashup, which may or may not have anything to so with crushing potatoes. Kathleen Blake of the Rusty Spoon and Kevin Fonzo of K restaurant will collaborate on a five-course dinner on Wednesday, April 23, at K in College Park. Wine pairings for the dinner will be curated by Linda K. Sullivan.
Now, why they’re doing this at K instead of the Spoon I can’t tell you. I’ve seen both kitchens, and Fonzo’s is barely large enough for one chef and a side of beef let alone two chefs. Blake’s kitchen is large enough for several chefs to be working side by side and still have enough room to park a food truck. But proximity might just make the meal more interesting.
