Florida Writers’ Conference Features Food Writing Sessions and More

Written By Scott Joseph On January 30, 2012

Are you a writer? Do you want to be a writer? Then you should plan to attend the Florida Writers’ Conference February 16-18 at the University of Central Florida. There will be sessions on how to launch a writing career, how to write a screenplay, how to create ebooks and many, many more topics. There is even a session titled “How to Write About Food and Make it Your Career” that I’ll be leading. I’m also presenting “How to create a Web Presence as a Writer.”

Other participating authors include Anthony Swofford (Jarhead: A Marine’s Chronicle of the Gulf War and Other Battles), Bob Morris (The Man with the Fish on His Foot), NPR correspondent Jacki Lyden (Daughter of the Queen of Sheba), Joe David Bellamy (Kindred Spirits) and a dozen or so others. You can sign up for one day or the whole conference. Click here to go to the official website and see the entire schedule.

Even if you’re a seasoned writer, you’ll find lots of information for furthering your career in the cyber age. I sure plan to sit in on a few of the sessions. Hope to see you there.
